Organic Week 2020

Organic Week 2020

This week, 5th - 13th of September 2020, is Organic Week Aotearoa NZ. It is a collection on 100+ Organico businesses, farmers, retailers, educators, restaurants and more. An annual celebration of all things organic.

Organic is on the rise around the world, and New Zealand is no different. We have become more aware of what we are putting into and onto our bodies and the impact this can have on our health and wellness. The week long campaign is a chance to celebrate and help educate kiwis on all things organic.

Their Objectives include:

  • Raise awareness across New Zealand for certified organic farmers, producers and manufacturers.
  • Help understand the connection between organic as a practice and the infinite benefits it holds.

  • Educate New Zealand on what it means to be certified organic, the rigorous process it takes to be organic, and why you can trust a certification label.

  • Capture government attention in the need for national regulation, alongside the national positive effects of organic practice.

  • Recognise certified organic farmers, producers and manufacturers for their challenging work and commitment to organics

  • Mainstreaming organics as a key to sustainability and climate change

This year Organic Week Aotearoa NZ have created a digital toolkit that includes key messaging, event ideas, poster templates and social media imagery to help you get involved. It's important to remember that no matter how big or small your contribution is to this celebration, it all makes a significant difference.
